The Process

Step 1 - Complimentary Phone Consultation

This is an opportunity to get to know each other, ask a lot of questions and explore whether Shorely Organized can meet your organizational goals. Should you wish to proceed, we move on to the next step.

 

Step 2 - In-Home Consultation

Takes place at your home and lasts between 1 – 2 hours.  Many suggestions and tips are offered to get you started. We develop a plan and schedule our first hands-on organizing session. Measurements may be taken to possibly start ordering some organizing products.

 

Step 3 - Hands-On Organizing Session

This is where we begin sorting, purging and making the decisions about what to keep, donate or trash/recycle.  Ideally we like to work alongside our clients, but with good direction we can also work independently. A three-hour minimum is required and we will travel at no charge up to an hour from Tilghman Island. A destination over an hour will incur a travel fee and has a four-hour minimum. We encourage a four-hour session, as we want you to really appreciate the results of our hard work, thus helping you to stay motivated and focused on the goals that we have set.

  • Please do not feel like you have to tidy or clean before we come into your home. We can best help you by seeing how you live and how your rooms function in their present state. We are non-judgmental. Our goal is to find solutions and set up organizing systems that can easily be maintained.
     

  • Garbage bags for donation and trash, and empty plastic bins and boxes are helpful during the sorting stage. We will supply everything else needed to get the job done. 
     

  • After the initial sorting and categorizing, we will try and utilize storage items you already have before making suggestions to purchase additional products. In fact, we ask that you limit buying anything new during the organizing process.

Fees

Our hourly fee for the In-Home Consultation and the Hands-On Organizing Sessions is $85 which includes removing a carload of donations, shopping and/or research time not to exceed ½ hour. Extensive shopping or research is billed at $85 per hour.
